Privacy Policy

Ivy Road Farm (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates ivyroadfarm.com. This page explains what personal information we collect when you visit or use our site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’re a small, family-run flower farm in Abilene, Texas — we collect the minimum we need to run the farm stand, take photography bookings, and keep you posted on what’s blooming, and we don’t sell your information to anyone.

Information we collect

When you email us. If you reach out to hello@ivyroadfarm.com, we receive your email address and whatever else you choose to include in your message.

When you sign up for farm updates. Our “Don’t Miss a Bloom” and “Get Notified” forms collect your email address (and any other field you fill in) so we can send you stand-opening alerts, seasonal offers, and field notes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting us directly.

When you book a photography session. Our booking calendar is provided by a third-party scheduling service, Cal.com. When you reserve a time slot, the name, email address, and any session details you provide are collected by Cal.com and shared with us so we can confirm and prepare for your visit. Cal.com’s own privacy policy governs how it handles that information on its end.

When you comment on our blog. If comments are open on a post, WordPress collects the name, email address, and website (if provided) you enter, along with your comment text and IP address, to help us detect spam and manage the conversation.

Automatically, as you browse. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information — such as pages visited, general location, device/browser type, and referring site — through website analytics and Google Search Console/Analytics tools. This helps us understand what’s useful to visitors and keep the site running smoothly. These tools may use cookies to do this.

How we use this information

  • To respond to your questions, orders, and booking requests
  • To schedule and confirm photography sessions
  • To send farm updates and seasonal alerts, if you’ve asked to receive them
  • To keep the site secure, working well, and free of spam
  • To understand, in general terms, how visitors find and use the site

Who we share information with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and the farm — currently our website host, our email/newsletter provider, and Cal.com for photography bookings — and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Our site, and the third-party tools embedded on it (such as our booking calendar and analytics), may use cookies to remember your preferences, keep the booking flow working, and understand site traffic. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect how some parts of the site work, like the live booking calendar.

Data retention & security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, ask us to delete a comment you left, or ask what information we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted, by emailing hello@ivyroadfarm.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our farm and site grow. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
